Dog friendly parks and off-leash areas in Eastern Suburbs

Southern Cross Drive Reserve Off-Leash Area is a council-designated off-leash area where dogs can run leash-free. Check on-site signage for any timed or shared-use rules.

Dogs are very much at home in Centennial Parklands, with large off-leash areas covering around 43 percent of the open space. Keep them on a leash near ponds and lakes, and off the horse and cycle tracks.

Dogs are welcome at Bronte Park, with a dedicated off-leash area in the gully between 3pm and 10am daily. Outside those hours, dogs must be kept on a leash, and they are not allowed on the beach, near the rock pools, or within 10 metres of the playground.
